Our concept deals with the creation of adequate spots to board public transport for locals and for visitors of the valley of Montafon. One step towards a network of public and individual transportation is the “spontaneous” car sharing system COPILOT, which out to use in this region. The design of connective spots visually underlines the combination of stopping and boarding point and provides orientation and information to the passengers. Our concept is a model kit which takes into account the needs of the users and the features of the landscape. The structure and construction are based on traditional woodwork techniques. The material grows in the immediate surrounding and can be treated by local workshops. The construction adjusts to the alpine weather conditions and the use, which leave traces on the object as time goes by. Thanks to this welcome effect, the stopping point fits in to the environment while staying clearly visible. The mast always marks the boarding point. Detailed information about the location is being shown around its shaft. The current is being provided by solar panels and the information can be imported via GPRS.
