IONDESIGN Berlin designed the lobby of the new offices for White&Case. The Berlin office is located in immediate vicinity of Berlin's main train station and the government district. The new counter by IONDESIGN Berlin welcomes clients, employees and visitors. The polygonal design of the interior with metallic accents is the link between reception area and offices. A representative interior design transports an impression of its users. For IONDESIGN Berlin it has always been the user who is the centre of the design process. An interior design which makes users feel comfortable creates a more productive work environment and increases the employees' identification with their workplace. First we observe processes and develop improvements. This is followed by a precise analysis of the interior design, which can be referred to as Design Thinking. Only after this step we start with the actual designing of the interior. The furniture represents our client both internally and externally. It is also the workplace of the reception staff and thus must meet various requirements. The stage of the design Doing is what we call the three-dimensional implementation of Design Thinking at IONDESIGN Berlin. Every interior design project is a new challenge for which it is important to find the individually ideal design solution.
